Please note the existing oceanfront trash recepticales have been removed from the beach strand and relocated to the streetside of
public access for collection. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep our beach beautiful and free from litter by placing
trash in receptacles provided.
Sanitation Services
Garbage will be collected at the following times:
- Saturday, Monday & Thursday (June, July, & August)
- Monday & Thursday (Week of Memorial Day and Week of Labor Day)
- Mondays ONLY (September through May).
Please place carts street side the night BEFORE service. Waste receptacle must be placed at curb-side by 6:00 am the day of collection. All garbage, etc. must be containerized.
Please keep cart adjacent to house at all other times.
Waste Industries is closed only on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Normal pick-up on all other holidays.
Large Item Garbage Disposal
Any trash which does not fit into your polycart will not be picked up. Please do not leave large items on the side of the road as they will not be collected by Waste Industries. These items need to be disposed at the landfill located at 2809 Galloway Road NE, Bolivia or at the following Convenient Site locations:

There is a small fee to dispose of these items which may be paid by cash or check.
Yard Debris Pickup
On the first and third Fridays of each month, yard debris will be collected. All debris must be bagged in a bio-degradable bag (available at most local stores), tied and bundled in 4 to 5 foot lengths with a maximum weight of 50 pounds. Plastic bags will not be picked up.
Waste Industries will not pick up the following items:
debris from vacant lots, construction debris, large tree stumps and debris from lot clearing.
Ocean Isle Beach Recycling Center
Located on West Second Street behind Town Hall
Ocean Isle Beach recycling site is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The following is a list of items to recycle: aluminum cans, steel containers, newspapers, magazines, clear-green-brown glass, and plastics #1 thru #7. These recyclable items can be co-mingled.
