As Mayor I thank you for visiting this informational Website for Ocean Isle Beach and invite you to visit and explore our beautiful island for yourself.

Ocean Isle Beach is a barrier island separated from the mainland by the Intracoastal Waterway and accessed by a single bridge. Our island is approximately seven miles long, featuring a wide, gently sloping beach, with calm surf perfect for your family outings.

Ocean Isle Beach has a year-round population of 426 residents. The island has approximately 3200 homes and condos. Approximately 25,000 visitors enjoy Ocean Isle Beach weekly during the summer. Our secret seasons of spring, fall, and winter can make you feel that the island is yours alone!

Family and a back-to-nature getaway are what Ocean Isle is all about. Our beach and deep-water canals are dotted with private single family homes, condos, and a few small hotels and inns for your accommodation choices. We are blessed with almost 30 championship golf courses within a 15-mile drive for your choice of play. Boutiques, restaurants, a waterslide, miniature golf, biking, fishing, kayaking, bird watching, boating, and watching sunsets are our island's idea of fun activities. Concerts in the Park, fishing tournaments, golf tournaments, and the NC Oyster Festival may be enjoyed at Ocean Isle.
