Notice of Available Position

The Town of Ocean Isle Beach is accepting applications/resumes from qualified individuals interested in a seasonal part-time position to serve as Activity Director for the Ocean Isle Beach Community Center.  Under the general supervision of the Town Administrator, this position will plan, develop and supervise the summer activities of the Community Center.  Duties consist of supervising a specialized, community based recreation program for children (ages 3-10) consisting of such activities as outdoor games, arts, crafts, storytelling and music.   Responsibilities include the development of daily activities as well as extensive contact with the general public volunteers and town staff. Individual must be mature, responsible, able to work independently and be comfortable working with children of various ages.   

Must have a valid NC Driver License; prefer one year’s experience in recreation or closely related field, or working toward a degree in a recreational field.  Position is available from approximately April 2 thru Labor Day 2012 for up to 25 hours per week.
