The Community Center may be reserved for private functions. To reserve the Community Center, a person must be 18 years of age and must be present during the use of the activity center. The Policies, Rules, Fees and Application for reserving the Community Center may be viewed here. The facility area available for rental consist of an 1100 square feet covered deck with a capacity of 85 people, restroom facilities, and kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and sink. If you have any questions regarding the Community Center feel free to contact Town Hall at 910-579-2166 or at Three West Third Street for additional information.

The Community Center hours of operation is 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and will be open during the following times:

                  Easter through Memorial Day - Saturday and Sunday
                  June 1st through October 31st - Open every day
                  November 1st through November 30th - Saturday and Sunday

               A Pot Luck Dinner is scheduled for the First and Third Tuesday's
              during the months of March, April and May along with September,
              October and November with Bingo to follow. Bring your favorite
              covered dish and join us at for an evening of good food, fun and fellowship.

If you are interested in staying for bingo, please bring a
$5.00 + prize per person.

CAMP OIB 2008 CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES

10 a.m. – 12 noon
An Adult Must Stay With the Child for the Entire Program

June 2 – August 22 (Check Channel 8 for Weather Cancellations)

Arts, crafts, games, and stories for children 3 – 10 years of age

Turtle Day Mondays

Discover our sea turtles. Play games, dance, and do turtle crafts with the Ocean Isle Beach Turtle Patrol. Meet Miss Gloria, the OIB Turtle Lady.

Tropical Tuesdays

There are mermaids, seahorses, and tropical life to greet you. Do art projects, dance the limbo, and have storytime with “Gigi” the grandmother of the mermaids.

Wacky Wednesdays

Be prepared to have wacky water fun on the beach with lots of active games and projects. Learn about different types of NC seashells. Meet a real surfer.

Pirates & Buried Treasure Thursdays

Ahoy, mateys! Join us for a treasure hunt, and be a pirate for a day. Meet an OIB pirate. There are plenty of arts and crafts, too. Arrrrrggggghhhh!

Fishy Fishy Fridays

Nemo invites you to come for fishing games, kite flying, crafts, games, and dancing. Meet Mr. OIB Fisherman.

Registration for activities will be held daily Monday - Friday at 10:00 a.m.
and ending promptly at 10:20 a.m. to allow activities to begin.
