The Community Center may be reserved for private functions. To reserve the Community Center, a person must be 18 years of age and must be present during the use of the activity center. The Policies, Rules, Fees and Application for reserving the Community Center may be viewed here. The facility area available for rental consist of an 1100 square feet covered deck with a capacity of 85 people, restroom facilities, and kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and sink. If you have any questions regarding the Community Center feel free to contact Town Hall at 910-579-2166 or at Three West Third Street for additional information. In the event the Community Center is not open at scheduled time as reserved please contact:

| The Community Center Restroom Facilities hours of operation is 9:00 a.m. until Sunset and will be open during the following times:
April - Friday, Saturday and Sunday
May 1st through October 31st - Open daily
November 1st through March 31st - Rentals and Special Events
If the Rest Rooms need immediate attention for cleaning or maintenance please call Town Hall at 910-579-3469 (Mon - Fri 8-5)
or Police Department at 910-579-4221 (weekends/evenings) for assistance.
Please note during winter months the restrooms are winterized and not available for daily use. Hours of availability may be subject to
weather conditions.

A Pot Luck Dinners are scheduled for the First and Third Tuesday's
during the months of March, April, May, September, October and November.
Bring your favorite covered dish and join us at 6:00 p.m. for an
evening of good food, fun and fellowship.

CAMP OIB “2013” SCHEDULE AND PROGRAM
Calling all children ages 4-10. Join us this summer at Camp OIB and enjoy spending time doing arts, crafts, games, story time and much more.
CAMP OIB is available on a first come basis to all children ages 4-10. Participants are limited to 35 per day and no advance reservations are allowed. CAMP OIB is located at the Ocean Isle Community Center 44 East First Street, Ocean Isle Beach. Registration for camp is held daily Monday-Thursday beginning at 9:30 AM and ending promptly at 9:50 AM, in order to allow for the fun to begin. Activity participant forms must be completed for all participants each day prior to the start of camp.
The 2012 season for CAMP OIB officially begins June 10 and continues until August 15. If a heat advisory is issued on any particular day, camp will be cancelled for the safety of all participants. Be sure to check our Government TV Channel 8 for weather cancellations. Camp time is from 9:30 am to 11:30 noon. Camp activities will not be held on July 4th due to the holiday. All children must be accompanied by an adult during the entire program.

PUPPETS IN PARADISE MONDAY

Opening now ... It's a Puppet Show at the NEW OIB Theatre. Dance the Limbo, make your own pinwheel and build sandcastles. And don't forget to bring your video camera - it will be a great photo op.

NEMO's WATER SAFETY TUESDAY
|
Come enjoy crafts and story time with Nemo and Baby Sea Turtle. Help Nemo build and race a seashell boat! The Power Squadron will have boats and equipment on site to teach children hands-on water safety information. Don't forget to bring your camera on board!

WACKY WEDNESDAY
|
Come and play the parachute games! Then off to the beach for more fun in the sun. Enjoy making sun catchers, wind chimes and studying our local shells. Hey Mom - "Look at me" and take a picture!

"AHOY MATEY" IT'S PIRATE THURSDAY
|
| All hands on deck as we march to the Flag Parade and play the Cannonball Treasure Hunt. Then it's off to enjoy pirate flag crafts & "Jimmy and Pirate Talk" story time. You never know when Captain Greybeard will pay a visit so be sure to bring your camera! |

The Town of Ocean Isle Beach would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Wayne and Darlene Patterson for their donation of the “OIB Theatre”. This Theatre was designed and constructed by the Pattersons and will be use for puppet shows at CAMP OIB. It is volunteers like Wayne and Darlene that make the Town’s recreational programs such a success.
